This year marked the closing of the boarding school and the admission of the first girls between Kinder and Year 3. In 1972 another group of girls arrived in Years 5, 6, and 7. It was also the year when Mr Charles T. Darling, founder and headmaster, passed away. Mr Willy Pérez succeeded him in the role of headmaster, while Mrs Darling continued as general director until she retired in 2002.
